Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party President Keshav Prasad Maurya called Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav “unfit” for managing the whole state.
Maurya arrived in Noida on Tuesday to meet with the victims of the Bulandshahr gangrape incident.
The incident took place in Bulandshahr on Friday night on NH-91 when the family was travelling to attend a funeral. They were ambushed, forced out of their car and dragged to the woods where they were looted. Later, the dacoits dragged the woman and her 13-year old daughter to a nearby field where they were gangraped.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, who has received strong backlash over the incident, will also be meeting with the victims on August 4.
Many people, including K P Maurya described Yadav as unfit for the position of Chief Minister. “CM Akhilesh Yadav is maybe fit for managing a district but, not for a whole state,” said Maurya.
Maurya has demanded a CBI probe into the issue, “The victim family is associated with BJP, their pain is our pain. We want a CBI probe.”
