Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Wednesday lodged an FIR against Bhartiya Janta Party
(BJP) leader Dayashankar Singh in Lucknow for using derogatory language against
party chief Mayawati.

“FIR has been lodged under the SC/ST act and we will investigate,” UP police said in a
statement.

“We will check the CD we have received and will maintain things for smooth functioning. FIR has been lodged under section 153A,504,509 IPC and 310 under the SC/ST act,” the Police added.

The leader in a statement earlier today had compared BSP sipremo with a prostitute saying,
Even a prostitute fulfils her commitment after she is paid. But Mayawati sells party tickets to anyone who paid her the highest amount. If someone gives her Rs 1 cr for a ticket she will give it to other person who is offering Rs 2 cr. Mayawati has become worse than a prostitute and abandons the ideals of Kanshi Ram.”

Following the incident, he was removed as BJP UP Vice President.

Dayashankar Singh’s remark not acceptable, therefore we have removed him from all party posts,” President of UP BJP, Keshav Prasad Maurya had said while making the announcement.
