Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah has appointed J P Nadda and Dharmendra Pradhan as party election incharge for Uttarakhand on Wednesday.
Earlier in May, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat had gained administration in the state after winning the floor test.
The crisis in the state began when nine Congress MLAs and 27 BJP legislators met with the Governor, K. K. Paul to seek the dismissal of Rawat’s government, following which, the Chief Minister was asked to prove majority.
The nine rebel MLAs, who had then joined BJP, were disqualified and President’ rule was imposed in the state.
On May 10, Harish Rawat was again declared as the Chief Minister of the state after he proved his majority at the floor test in the assembly.
