Former Haryana minister and senior Congress leader Captain Ajay Singh Yadav on Monday withdrew his decision to quit the party following talks with party Vice-President Rahul Gandhi.
“Satisfied after meeting Rahul Gandhi, will stay in party and continue to work for it,” says Captain Ajay Singh Yadav.
Earlier on July 29, Yadav made the announcement to quit the party on Twitter and Facebook.
“Friends I gave my youth and life for the congress party and worked as true soldier of the party but my ego has been hurt I quit congress,” Capt Ajay Singh Yadav tweeted.
“Mr Kamalnath you in a month mislead high command and undermined my prestige you have 40 years of experience but I too have 30 years of work,” Yadav tweeted, expressing his anger against the party in charge.
Yadav, a five time MLA who has remained a minister under Hooda and Bhajan Lal, was among 10 leaders of the party from Haryana invited for a meeting called by Nath on July 27 to stop infighting in the party.
However, he was told to stay away from the meeting at the last minute.
