In an accident during a movie stunt two Kannada actors drowned in the lake, after the stunt went wrong at Tippagondanahalli Lake in Bangaluru.

A stunt scene of a upcoming Kannada short film ‘Masti Gudi’ staring Duniya Vijay was being filmed when the accident took place.

In the stunt scene, Vijay and two others, Anil and Uday were supposed to jump into the lake from the flying helicopter. After jumping into the lake the lead actor Vijay managed to reach shore, while other two didn’t reached the shore for long time, ahead of which a search team was immediately dispatched to rescue them.

However, the chances of the actors to retrieving them are extremely low, according to police and film crew.

The incident took place around 3pm in afternoon today and is believed to happened due to inadequate safety measures. Moreover, it is also believed that, there had been no prior rehersal to gauge the safety risks, either.

Reportedly, there were no safety harness were provided to the two acotrs, only the lead actor Vijay accessed safety harnesses. There was no ambulance or speedboats were available at the spot to counter any casualty during shoot. While rescue operation is still underway to recover two actors.
