A day after insulting Indian army martyrs with his remark during a TV debate, veteran Bollywood actor Om Puri has now sought an apology for his statements.

While talking to Times Now, Om Puri said that he is ready for any case or punishment against himself.

Earlier on Tuesday, a case was also lodged against Om Puri at the Andheri Police Station in Mumbai.

Expressing his views on banning the Pakistani artistes following the Uri attacks during a TV debate, Om Puri said: “Art and politics should be kept separate and banning the artistes will not change the situation.”

He also added that these actors are not brought to India illegally but with work visa so the producers shouldn’t suffer.

He was also of the opinion that people voluntarily join the army and so there is no need to celebrate or remember their martyrdom.
