50-year-old ‘Iron Man’ Milind Soman is running from Ahmedabad to Mumbai, without shoes.
The former model, started running the 570 km long stretch between Ahmedabad and Mumbai via Silvassa on July 26.
And he is running the marathon for ‘The Great India Run’, which calls itself the country’s first multi-city ultra marathon. Soman is constantly updating his journey on Facebook page and on the first day, he has managed to complete 67 kms and has reached Anand. On second day, he has completed 62 kms.
He is expected to reach Mumbai by 7 August.
With the aim to promote running as a sport in the country, ‘The Great India Run’ will see a total of 15 marathon runners from India pass through six states — Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Delhi covering a total distance of 1480 Kms.
