Bollywood’s Dabangg Khan on Thursday alleged that Mumbai Police are trying to falsely implicate him in 2002 hit and run case that claimed one life.

Allegation from ‘Sallu Bhai’ came while he was requesting Supreme Court to dismiss the Maharashtra government’s petition challenging his acquittal in the case.

The actor said to the apex court that his driver Ashok Singh was driving the car at the time of accident and he had not been drinking that night.

He claimed that immediately after accident, the driver even went to the police station to record his statement; however, cops refused to record his statement saying they were under pressure to arrest the actor.

The accident occurred on 28 September, 2002, when Salman Khan’s car ran over a group of persons who were sleeping in front of a suburban bakery on the pavement .One persons was killed and four others were injured.
