Even if the festive season is over, you may receive lot of spam in your email inbox….a lot of weird or bizarre and might be X rated mails. The latest action of the Telephone Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has been slammed by social media for disclosing around one million email addresses from where the telecom watchdog has received request in support of the much-talked Net Neutrality.
The TRAI has made all the mails public which crated uproar on the internet.

The list of the emails is available on the site of the TRAI from where anyone can download the list of mails in a PDF file.
Email databases are a pile of information for many people, like email marketers, dating websites, potential hackers along with porn websites.
If you can read this, then people across the globe can scan the email addresses and download the PDF files.

The principle of Net Neutrality calls for equal treatment to be accorded to all Internet traffic, without discrimination or priority for any person, entity or company. But, after TRAI made all the emails public, it has become an invasion of privacy.
TRAI might wanted to show its transparency but it has undoubtedly threatened the privacy of one million citizens.
