The Central Board of Direct Taxes which is the policy-making body of the Income Tax department now introduces a quicker method to obtain a PAN.
To get rid of the complicated tax-filing process, the government now plans to introduce a faster way for getting a Permanent Account Number. The government shall also launch a mobile application through which income tax can be filed easily.

The Income Tax Department is also offering e-nivaran (electronic solution) facility for all online grievances. The e-nivaran system was launched by the CBDT in 2016.
Taxpayers can register all complaints related to delay in refunds, filing e-returns, tax deduction (TDS), PAN related issues.
