Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Wednesday termed the killing of a youth in Tral by forces as an “unfortunate incident” and said the Army should have been more cautious.
“The Army should have dealt cautiously in the situation,” Mufti said. “It would be looked into like the earlier Budgam incident where Army admitted to its fault. We will find the facts in this case. Such incidents should not take place.”
Khalid Muzaffar Wani, brother of Hizb-Ul-Mujhadeen commander, Burhan Wani was killed in an army action in Kamla forests on Monday. He had visited his militant brother with biryani along with his three friends.
According to army, Khalid had visited his militant brother with biryani along with his three friends but people have rejected the claims of Army and say he was being killed in a 'staged encounter'.
Muzaffar Wani, the father of slain youth earlier also rejected the army and police version and has said that his son was tortured to death. “My son was innocent. He had nothing to do with militancy. He was tortured to death.”

The killing has sparked widespread protests in Tral and it's adjoining areas.
Meanwhile, authorities have imposed curfew in the town.
