The rupee weakened by 15 paise to quote at 67.26 against the dollar in early trade at the
Interbank Foreign Exchange market on Tuesday on increased demand for the American currency from importers and banks amid a lower opening in the domestic equity market.
The dollar was firm against some global currencies which also weighed on the rupee, dealers said.

Meanwhile, the benchmark BSE Sensex fell by 60.95 points or 0.25 per cent to 24,743.33 in early trade.
