German luxury-car maker Mercedes Benz on Tuesday launched SLC 43 AMG at Rs. 77.50 lakh in India.
The sports car features a 3.0 liter V6 bi-turbo engine and can sprint from rest to 100 km/h in mere 4.7 seconds while offering a eak torque of 520 Newton-meters. While its top speed is electronically limited at 250 km/h, it consumes just 7.8 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers.
“The new Mercedes-AMG SLC 43 unites the classic virtues of a roadster with exemplary efficiency. Weighing less and with lower fuel consumption, the new SLC 43 delivers a similar performance to the SLK 55 on the race track. This vehicle provides typical AMG driving pleasure in a compact open-top two-seater in line with the needs of today’s market,” Mercedes-AMG chairman Tobias Moers said in a statement.
The ‘roardster’ offers high-performance braking system with larger brake discs AMG design with specific front and rear aprons, exhaust tailpipes and wheel arch covers integrated into rear wheel arch trims.
As far as style is concerned, SLC 43 comes with diamond radiator grille in chrome with louvre in high-gloss black and 18-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels that are painted in high-gloss black with high-sheen.
It also has multi-function sports steering wheel in nappa leather with perforations in grip area, flattened bottom section with red contrasting top-stitching.
