The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India today on Wednesday announced a partial resumption of production at the Manesar, Gurugram.
On May 30th, the company announced the suspension of production due to fire at the factory of its component supplier Subros in Manesar.
However, On Tuesday evening it said that the plant will resume manufacturing of vehicles at its Gurgaon facilities from second half of Wednesday.
The fire took more than three hours to douse. There were no reports of casualty.
On an average MSI produces around 5,000 units a day from its two plants at Gurgaon and Manesar, which together have an annually capacity of rolling out 15 lakh units.
