General Motors India recalled its Chevrolet Cruze Cars, a limited range of its vehicles.
The recall was ordered for all models manufactured between 2009 and 2011 after reports of engine stall and loss of ignition.
“The inspection and recommended repairs or replacement are estimated to take no more than one hour and affected Chevrolet Cruze customers will be asked to take their vehicles to their nearest Chevrolet service dealership for inspection with a prior appointment,” the release reported.
“This is a voluntary recall,” Markus Sternberg, Vice-President (Aftersales), General Motors India reported while adding, “We want to make sure that our customers experience the right performance from their vehicles.”
The company has announced that the replacement wouldn’t be cumbersome for the customer, offering a pick up and drop and making the process free of cost.
