The 3 BJP MPs Yogi Adityanath, Manohar Parrikar and Keshav Prasad Maurya that have received specialised portfolios in the state governments are not likely to resign from their Parliament posts until the presidential polls in July are complete.

According to reports, the 3 BJP members will be required to be elected within 6 months of their appointment which would fall in September after the presidential polls slated for July.
"They will have to be elected from either House in the state within six months and they will have to resign from LS or RS within 14 days of their election. There is no hurry ... we have more serious issues than going for bypolls at this juncture," a senior BJP member said to Times of India.

BJP is now focused on preparing for the presidential polls after its landslide victories in the recent assembly elections, a source said.
Since UP has a bicameral House, CM Adityanath and Deputy CM Maurya have the option of contesting for the bypoll from an assembly constituency as well as for the legislative council.
