Earth - with an 4.543 billion years of age - is still the only known planet in the universe that supports life. Our planet is also the densest planet in the Solar System and the largest of the four terrestrial planets.
Today is Earth Day, it is an annual event celebrated on April 22. Worldwide, various events are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First celebrated in 1970, Earth Day events in more than 193 countries are now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network.
This Earth Day, Google does its part to create awareness too. It used a clever Fox Doodle story to encourage people across the world to be more cautious of the uses of natural resources and do their part to save the environment.
The Doodle depicts the story of a fox who had a dream about an Earth that has been polluted and suffers due to harsh climatic conditions. He wakes up determined to save the Earth, he begins with small changes in his life. Along the way, he encourages friends (The cat and the frog) to join journey to save the Mother Earth and nature.
The doodle guides us that we can all do our parts in being environment-friendly, it shows us that we can try to conserve electricity and water more. Reuse, recycle the things that we can, Use transport means that do not emit harmful gases and smoke into the air, try using bicycles and carpooling.
We should plant more and more trees and do our best to save the flora and fauna of our Earth. Check out the doodle story by Google to learn ways to conserve energy.
